Christmas Tag 2015 ♡ // MissBeautyEmily

Hey everyone ♡
It's Day 1 of Blogmas and I'm beyond excited to get this started! This is my first year of attempting blogmas and also my first time of ever attempting something as remotely challenging as this that relates to my blog or YouTube, so fingers crossed that this goes well!
I've chosen to do the Christmas Tag because what's a better way to kick off the festive season that answering some questions about xmas!

What is your favourite Christmas movie?
Surprisingly, I don't tend to watch lots of Christmas movies anymore. Of course when I was younger, I'd watch festive films all the time because I was so excited for the big day! If I had to pick my favourite Christmas movie, it would have to be Home Alone. There's something about this movie that makes me feel pretty attached to this festive comedy. I remember watching it many times when I was younger and I've since watched it multiple times growing up -- it never fails to make me laugh!

Do you open your presents on Christmas eve or Christmas morning?
Christmas morning of course! What kind of question is this?! I could never picture myself not being able to open my presents on the morning of xmas, it's a tradition I've always had in my family. Nothing could beat the feeling of going to bed on the eve and being so excited that you couldn't sleep and then eventually waking up to a stocking full of wonderful gifts!

Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
I don't have any specific stand out memory but I'll always remember the feeling of waking up super early and making my way downstairs just eagerly waiting for the living room door to be opened by my parents just so I could see my stocking!

Favourite festive food?
Nothing can beat some homemade shortbread biscuits or cookies! I absolutely love those soft sugary biscuits that you can ice and decorate with silvers balls or sprinkles. Talking about this takes me way back to primary school when we'd bake biscuits in shapes of snowflakes or snowmen and decorate them to take home. All this food talk is making me hungry now..

Favourite Christmas gift?
I think my favourite gift has to be my first computer I got for myself back in 2011. At the time, touch screen computers were completely new and I felt like I had such a cool gadget that I could touch the screen of my computer without needing a mouse and also watch live TV from it! I still have it now and although I use my MacBook Air for everything, it occasionally gets used (I don't think I can bring myself to sell it) The main reason for getting it was because I had purchased The Sims 3 and the laptop we previously had wouldn't run it and I was gutted.

Favourite Christmas scent?
In terms of perfume, Taylor Swift 'Wonderstruck' is my favourite scent. But if we're referring to general scents, spicy cinnamon and dark berry candles definitely take me to the festive season.

Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Not anymore, perhaps we may go shopping around the day before just in case there's any deals or offers about. However, when I was younger, I was always told to leave a glass of milk and some chocolates out for Father Christmas as a snack for when he came to drop off my presents. Looking back, it's cute how naive I was about this. I hope one day when I have children that I can do the same with them.

What tops your tree?
The main tree in the living room is usually topped with a fairy ornament that my mum had had for many years (perhaps when she was a child herself) so that decoration has a sentimental value for us all. However on my little tree I have in my room, I top it with this springy star that has gems and glitter all over, it's a little heavy for the tree so I have to place it pretty well, aha!

As a kid, what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
I don't think there was anything I continually asked for each year that was crazy, but I do remember one year really wanting a pony.. God knows how I thought my parents would be able to afford one, oops!

What's the best part about Christmas for you?
I really love the build up of Christmas and how (most) people instantly perk up and try and spread the christmas cheer to everyone. Being able to spend quality time with friends and family is also a pleasant part of the festivity and also seeing how happy gifts can make others is priceless.

And that is the tag done! If you fancy giving it a go, then I tag you! If you don't have a blog but want to answer them too, leave your answers as comments below and I'll give them a little read.
